About CoachT.com
CoachT is Jim Thompson, a teacher and coach in his 32nd year at Lawrence County High School in Lawrenceburg, TN. The technical specialist who makes all of the features on CoachT work correctly is Bradley Lambert.
A graduate of Lawrence County High in 1970, Coach Thompson played four years of football and one year of basketball for the Austin Peay Governors. Coach Thompson coached high school football for 11 years (three in Charleston, SC and eight years at Lawrence County) and coached one year in college as a graduate assistant at Middle Tennessee. CoachT coached boy's high school basketball for 8 years -- two as head coach and 6 as an assistant. He has also coached baseball for two years, both as head coach, and coached golf for 18 years. CoachT.com began in 1997-98 as a simple site covering the Lawrence County Lady Cats basketball team. As luck would have it, the Lady Cats won the Class AAA State Championship that season. The site was later expanded to cover all of District 8-AAA basketball teams. CoachT.com became a comprehrensive, state-wide site after signing on with Rivals.com in February of 2000, a relationship which lasted a little over one year before Rivals.com unfortunately declared bankruptcy. When time permits, CoachT also participates in Lady Cat basketball broadcasts on WDXE Radio. CoachT and his wife, Elaine, have been married for 32 years and have three children: Brynn is married (husband Philipp) and living in Karlsruhe, Germany where she is teaching at Berlitz while getting her Masters at the University of Berlin and is the proud new parent of a beautiful baby girl, Isabella; Mark is now enrolled at Columbia State again while working towards a degree in radiology; and Katie is attending ETSU. CoachT.com not only will cover all Tennessee High School Sports during the school year but has recently expanded to provide the same comprehensive coverage to Tennessee colleges and universities, Alabama High School Sports, and New York High School Sports. Elaine and Mark will be helping CoachT with the additional coverage while Katie helps with the photography. Also, don't forget about one of our most popular features: the photos available at the Photo Gallery which features pictures by several photographers including CoachT and his daughter, Katie. Enjoy the pictures taken by Katie and CoachT as they travel around the state! 7/6/07 Decatur Daily Article: Growing site will give fans plenty of preps 3/28/07 Florence Daily Times Article: If you build it ...
